Municipal offices and most Chatham-Kent services will be closed on Wednesday, July 1, in recognition of Canada Day, with a number of exceptions and modified schedules in place.
Arenas, libraries, public health offices, and most administrative services will be closed for the holiday, while emergency services will remain operational 24 hours a day.
CK Public Health said its offices will be closed and well water sample acceptance will be paused beginning June 29 at 11 a.m. until regular operations resume on July 2.
All Chatham-Kent Public Library branches will be closed, though virtual services will remain available online. Pools will offer free swim times from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., with select adult swim periods in Blenheim and Wallaceburg.
RIDE CK transit will not operate on July 1, and curbside waste collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.
ServiceOntario locations in Chatham and Dresden will also be closed on Canada Day and reopen on July 2.
Officials are reminding residents that police, fire and ambulance services remain available 24/7 through 911.
