Public invited to provide input on Dresden riverbank stabilization study

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent has launched a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment to examine the need for slope stabilization along the Sydenham River near 455 and 459 Sydenham St. in Dresden.

The study will assess existing conditions, evaluate possible solutions and identify a preferred approach aimed at protecting public safety, municipal infrastructure and the surrounding environment.

Residents will have an opportunity to learn more about the project and provide feedback during a public information centre on July 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Ken Houston Memorial Agricultural Centre, 1212 North St. in Dresden.

Written comments on the project will also be accepted through July 23 via the municipality’s online engagement portal, here.
