Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 27-year-old Chatham man is facing charges after police say he allegedly violated the conditions of his release by attending a complainant’s residence and communicating with her.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a disturbance in Chatham at about 2:42 p.m. on Tuesday. Police allege the man attended the complainant’s residence and communicated with her despite being prohibited from doing so under the conditions of an undertaking.
Officers located the accused later that afternoon and arrested him following an investigation.
The man has been charged with three counts of failing to comply with an undertaking. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
