PAWR to celebrate 100th cat adoption at Cat Lounge

PAWR will celebrate the 100th cat adoption from The Cat Lounge this weekend, marking a milestone for the adoption space that opened inside The Glasshouse Nursery in July 2024.

The organization said the lounge has given visitors the opportunity to spend time with adoptable cats in a relaxed setting while helping more animals find permanent homes.

The celebration will take place Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at The Glasshouse Nursery, 56 Creek Rd. in Chatham.

To mark the occasion, PAWR will give away 100 complimentary cupcakes. The first 100 people to bring a donation of a bag of cat kibble will also receive a $50 gift certificate to The Glasshouse Nursery, limited to one per household.

“Every adoption represents a cat getting a second chance and a family finding a new companion,” said Myriam Armstrong, executive director of PAWR. “The Cat Lounge has exceeded our expectations, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has visited, adopted, donated, or simply helped spread the word. This celebration is our way of saying thank you.”

PAWR is encouraging residents to attend the event, celebrate the milestone and meet the adoptable cats at the lounge.
