Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 42-year-old Chatham man is facing an assault charge after police say he spat on a security guard following a verbal dispute.
Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to an assault call in the area of Grand Avenue West on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at approximately 4:01 p.m. Through investigation, police learned a male party had spat on a security guard during the altercation.
The man was arrested and charged with assault.
He was released on an appearance notice with a future court date of October 13, 2026.
