OPP officials allege: One individual has been charged following a disturbance in Petrolia.
On July 24, 2026, shortly after 7 p.m., members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a disturbance at a residence on Oil Heritage Road.
The investigation determined that a disturbance had occurred between two individuals. During the police investigation, one individual uttered threats towards another person.
As a result, a 48-year-old Petrolia man was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and the Liquor Licence and Control Act with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and being intoxicated in a public place.
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on Sept. 8, 2026.
