Two Wallaceburg residents charged after breaching no-contact court orders

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Two people are facing charges after Chatham-Kent police responded to a disturbance in Wallaceburg on Thursday morning.

Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service were called to the area of Elizabeth Street in Wallaceburg at approximately 7:27 a.m. on July 30, 2026, following reports of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, police observed two parties arguing with each other. Further investigation revealed that both parties were subject to court-ordered conditions prohibiting them from having contact with one another.

As a result, both parties were arrested for violating their court orders.

A 36-year-old Wallaceburg woman was charged with failure to comply with a release order and failure to comply with a probation order.

A 38-year-old Wallaceburg man was also charged with facilitating a breach of a release order and failure to comply with a probation order.

Both parties were transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters, where they were held pending a bail hearing.
