The Ontario Provincial Police and Walpole Island First Nation will hold a media event Wednesday to announce the conclusion of a multi-jurisdictional drug trafficking investigation.
The announcement is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026, at 117 Tahgahoning Road on Walpole Island First Nation. Law enforcement and community partners say they remain committed to working together to address drug trafficking and enhance public safety through coordinated enforcement and intelligence-led investigations.
Formal remarks are expected from Acting Chief Superintendent Andrea Quenneville of OPP West Region Command Staff, Acting Detective Superintendent Andy Bradford of the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, and Walpole Island Chief Leela Thomas of Walpole Island First Nation.
