The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is inviting residents who have purchased a backyard composter through its Backyard Composter Program to share how they are putting it to use for a chance to win a prize.
Residents can visit letstalkchatham-kent.ca to submit a photo of their composter and enter a giveaway for a $100 gift card to All Seasons Nursery & Flowers in Wallaceburg.
A winner will be selected after the contest closes on Aug. 28, 2026.
The municipality says composting is a simple way to keep food scraps and yard waste out of the garbage while creating a valuable resource for gardens.
By taking part in the CK Compost Challenge, residents can help inspire others to compost and support waste diversion in the community, according to the municipality.
