Nahum Paul Sands, a member of Walpole Island First Nation passed away suddenly on Monday, September 7, 2026 at the age of 49. He will be remembered as a loving father to Trevor Sands (Ashlee) and grandfather to Alyssa. Cherished son of Corrine Sands-Tooshkening and Clayton Sands Jr. (Janet) Beloved brother and friend of Sennen Sands (Marsha), Major Sands (Danielle), Faith Sands (Tim), Shaguewe Sands, Summer Sands, Cheyanne Sands, Chad Sands and Lake Sands. He will be fondly thought of and missed by his many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231) on Sunday, September 13, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. His funeral ceremony will be held at the funeral home on Monday, September 14, 2026 at 11am. Burial at highbanks cemetery will follow.
