With heavy hearts we are saddened to say Vera Dixon has passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026 at the Chatham Hospital at the age of 70 years. She was a daughter of the late Raymond and Eileen (Rickman) Dixon. She was predeceased by her husband Ed Carron. Loving mother of April (Dave) Carroll and the late Edward (Deb) Carron.
Dear grandmother of Cassie Carroll, David (Ciara) Carroll, Jamie (Amanda) Carroll, Lexi (Erik Dube-Shaw) Carroll and great grandmother of Anthony Gladue, Kanen Gladue, Mabel Carroll, Logan Carroll, Melodie Carroll and Eric Carroll.
Kind sister of Raylene Carron (Terry), Ruby Seaton (David), Fred Dixon (Linda), Linda (Kevin Roelens (Kevin), Richard Abray-Dixon (Susan), Cathy Wardlaw-Campbell (Phil)
and the late Betty (Skip) Brooks and the late Patricia Pelletier. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Vera loved to sit along the river bank and fish all day. She enjoyed her crafting, knitting and crocheting. She always cherished her time cooking with the grandkids and passing along family recipes.
Following her wishes, cremation will take place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
