The Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Canada South Chapter is accepting nominations for its National Philanthropy Day awards, to be held Nov. 13 at the Hellenic Cultural Centre.
The event is meant to celebrate the philanthropic spirit in the community and the individuals, nonprofits, businesses and communities that come together to create lasting change through generosity.
The chapter is seeking nominations of individuals, foundations, corporations and fundraising volunteers whose commitment to philanthropy and local community involvement is extraordinary.
Awards will be presented in seven categories: Outstanding Community Champion, Outstanding Fundraising Professional, Outstanding Community Innovation, Outstanding Business or Corporation, Outstanding Fundraising Volunteer, Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy, and Spirit of IDEA, which stands for inclusion, diversity, equity and access.
The nomination deadline is Thursday, Oct. 1, at 4:30 p.m. Recipients will be announced Tuesday, Oct. 13.
