Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 54-year-old Chatham man who was in breach of a probation order faces four charges after an alleged assault on a 54-year-old Chatham woman early Saturday.
Chatham-Kent police responded to a report of a domestic dispute in Chatham at about 3:12 a.m.
Police allege the man shoved the woman to the ground, restricted her breathing and uttered threats to her. Police say she did not require medical attention.
The man was arrested and charged with assault, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats and failure to comply with a probation order. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was released with conditions and a future court date.
