Shirley Dianne Cadotte (née Hooper), of Dresden, Ontario, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, at the age of 86, with her loving family by her side.
Shirley was the daughter of the late Emerson and Susan (Jacques) Hooper and the beloved wife of Francis Cadotte. She was a devoted mother to Debra Fox-Bayer, Sandra Empey (Fred), and Stephen Fox (Diane), and a loving stepmother to Brenda Lozon (Rob), Richard Cadotte (Rose), and Christine Burm.
A cherished grandmother, Shirley will be fondly remembered by Chantelle (Brandon), A.J., Sheris, Fred (Courtney), Candace (Michael), Ashley (Phil), Rylan (Gia) and Scott (Reigh). She was predeceased by her beloved grandchildren Jeffrey, Darryl, and Tadd. Shirley was a proud great-grandmother to Brendyn, Paige, Corey, Aynzlei, Maverick, Damon, Christopher, Michael, Haylee, Bella and Brody. She is predeceased by her great-grandson Nathan; her brothers, Lyle Hooper, Junior Hooper (Lucy), Snort Hooper (Pat) and her sisters, Norma Shymko (Henry) and Vera Moor (Bill).

Shirley’s warmth, love, and care for her family will live on in the many memories they shared. She will be deeply missed and forever held close in the hearts of all who loved her.
Family and friends will be received at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre 679 North St, Dresden on Friday, October 2, 2026 from 2:00-4:00 PM. A private famly interment will be held at Dresden Cemetery at a later date. If desired, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice.
