Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 35-year-old Chatham man is facing multiple charges after police say he was found with a woman he was prohibited from associating with and was in possession of weapons.
A Chatham-Kent Police officer on general patrol saw the man with a woman in the area of William Street South at about 10:32 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15.
Police say the officer recognized the man and knew he was bound by court-imposed conditions barring him from associating with her.
The man was arrested, and a search revealed he had weapons, contrary to his release conditions.
He is charged with two counts of failing to comply with a release order and four counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
He was taken to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
