The Red Devils topped the Elora Mohawks on Saturday at Wallaceburg Memorial Arena in their home opener.
Wallaceburg won the close contest 7-5.
Carter Hastings led the way with 2 goals and 1 assist, while Vern Hill also added 2 goals.
Corey Lucier and Parker Gilhuly had 1 goal and 1 assist each.
Tanner Cole also scored for Wallaceburg, who led the game from start to finish.
Noble Jacobs was solid between the pipes for Wallaceburg making 38 saves in win.
Jacobs was also named the game’s 1st star.
Jamie Knight, assistant coach with the club, told the Sydenham Current that the coaching staff was happy with the outcome on Saturday.

A total of 425 fans packed into the arena for the home opener.
The Red Devils are now 2-0 to start the young season.
Their next game is on Sunday, April 30 when the Windsor Clippers come to Wallaceburg.
The game gets started at 4 p.m.
