In preparation for the start of the school year, a ‘Fill The Bus’ event is taking place on Saturday, August 28, 2021 across Chatham-Kent from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“Let’s help our community and donate to out local food bank and help with school supplies,” organizers say.
Drop off location, include:
– Foodland in Dresden
– Foodland in Tilbury
– Sobey’s in Blenheim
– Food Basics, Sobeys, Mercato, Giant Tiger, Super Store & No Frills in Chatham.
Items being accepted, include:
– Juice boxes
– Healthy school snacks
– Canned fruit and vegetables
– Tuna
– Canned meat
– Vegetable and chicken soup
– Soda crackers
– Pasta sauce
– Rice dishes
– Pancake mix and syrup
– Jam
– Oatmeal
– Condiments
– School supplies
– Back packs
