C-K launches new online subscription tool

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is making it easier than ever for residents to provide their input into the issues facing their community with a new online notification tool.

Residents who register to take part in a subscription service through the Chatham-Kent website will have notifications of new engagement opportunities delivered to their email address.

The service will also provide subscribers with notification for any of the Let’s Talk Chatham-Kent projects used to give council and municipal staff feedback on key issues.

Nearly 2,800 people have registered for Let’s Talk that has covered topics ranging from a master plan for the Chatham-Kent Public Library System to municipal water supply options across the community.

Amy Wilcox, Chatham-Kent Manager of Corporate Initiatives said information collected through Let’s Talk provides officials with valuable insight into the pulse of the community.

“We have received some very thoughtful responses on any number of issues,” she said in a press release.

“The perspective of people who take the time to give their thoughts and opinions means a lot.”
