Male arrested on outstanding warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning an officer on general patrol in Chatham located a male in the area of Adelaide Street who was known to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Failing to Attend.

The 27-year old male was arrested on the strength of the warrant and later released with a future court date of March 18, 2022.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning police responded to a call at a residence on Orchard Heights in Chatham.

Through investigation a male at the residence was found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Failing to Attend.

The 56-year old male was arrested on the strength of the warrant and later released with a future court date of March 25, 2022.

Break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning police responded to a business on Llewelyn Street in Chatham.

Sometime overnight an unknown person smashed a window to the building and took a Stihl chainsaw valuing approximately $1,400 from inside.

The investigation is ongoing and there are currently no suspects.

Domestic disturbance

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Edgar Street in Chatham.

As a result of the investigation a 24-year old male was arrested for Assault with a Weapon.

The male was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and later released with a future court date of March 23, 2022.

Bail violations

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night police responded to a shoplifting complaint at a business on Queen Street in Chatham.

Through investigation it was found that the female involved was on conditions not to attend the business.

As a result the 37-year old female was arrested for Failing to Comply with her Release Order and released with a future court date.

Male arrested on outstanding warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night police responded to a residence on Richmond Street in Chatham as it was being reported that there was a male at the location that was known to be wanted on a warrant for two counts of Domestic Assault.

Police attended and located the male.

The 21-year old male was arrested on the strength of the warrant and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking.

The male was later released with a future court date.

Traffic stop leads to impaired charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early this morning an officer on general patrol in Blenheim initiated a traffic stop on Chatham Street North.

Through investigation the officer believed the male driver was driving while impaired by alcohol.

The 59-year old Chatham resident was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for breath tests and as a result was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

The Chatham resident was later released with a future court date of March 25, 2022.
