Multi-jurisdictional drug investigation on Walpole Island set to be the focus of upcoming press conference

Representatives from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS), Walpole Island Police Service (WIPS) and Walpole Island First Nation (WIFN) will be on hand at a media conference to address the conclusion of Project McNulty, a multi-jurisdictional drug investigation.

The press event will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 11 a.m. at 4224 Oil Heritage Road in Petrolia.

After brief introductory remarks, there will be comments from:

– A/Superintendent Paul Richardson – West Region Command Staff,

– Inspector C. Avery – Lambton OPP Detachment Commander,

– Inspector M. Domony – Chatham-Kent Police Service,

– Chief D. Miskokomon (or designate) – Walpole Island First Nation,

– Staff Sergeant. C. Lorway – OPP Community Street Crimes Unit,

– Sergeant C. Jacobs – Walpole Island Police Service

The conference will feature a question-and-answer period and seized exhibits from the investigation will be on display.

The event will be streamed live on OPP West Region social media accounts.
