Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday, June 17, 2023 around 1 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on Victoria Road at Gosnell Line near Ridgetown.
The collision involved two vehicles.
The driver, a 32-year-old Chatham woman, was driving a vehicle containing a 13-year-old passenger on Gosnell Line.
The vehicle collided with another vehicle travelling northbound on Victoria Road.
The driver of this vehicle, a 60-year-old Chatham woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 60-year-old passenger was seriously injured and was transported to London via air ambulance where she is listed in stable condition.
The 32-year-old woman and the 13-year-old passenger both received non-life threatening injuries and were transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance where they are in fair condition.
Out of respect for the family, the name of the deceased driver will not be released at this time.
