Robbery in Sarnia leads to an arrest

Sarnia Police Service officials allege: On June 19, 2025, at 5:26 a.m., police were called to a convenience store located on Indian Road at Confederation Street.

Information received via 911 was that a male had entered the store demanding the money from the register.

An object was seen in his hand, but it was not identifiable.

After being chased around the store, the clerk locked himself in another room to await the arrival of police.

Officers quickly arrived to discover the suspect had fled.

Police contained the area and began a search for the suspect.

A male was located on Borden Street, matching the description.

He was confirmed as the suspect and placed under arrest.

Search incident to that arrest resulted in the discovery of a makeshift weapon that had been brandished during the incident.

Investigation revealed that the accused was subject to two probation orders at the time of this offence.

As a result, a 28-year-old man of no fixed address has been held for bail on the following charges:

– Robbery

– Breach of Probation X 2

– Wear disguise
