With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Francis Durston, on Friday, August 15, 2025 at the Chatham Kent Hospice at the age of 58 years.
He was born in Wallaceburg, On and is the beloved son of Bernice Knight (the late Jim Knight). Dear husband and best friend of Charlene Bourdeau. Dear father of Francis and Adam. Dear stepfather of Jeremy (Sarah) Cogghe, Danielle (Steve) Cogghe, Jamie (Brittany) Cogghe and Josh (Mackenzie) Cogghe. Dear grandfather of Clair, Jaxson and stepgrandfather of Haydn, Lain, Teagan, Madyson, Ethan, Lucas, Elaina, Melanie, Cameron, Grace and Daniel. Kind brother of Randy (Dianna) Caron, Tracy Durston, Jamie (Shani) Knight and Todd Knight. Also Survived by many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by Brad (Yvette) Fulkerson who was like a brother to Francis.
He was a lifelong Habs fan. He enjoyed gatherings with family and friends. He loved to throw a line in, sit and fish on the banks of the river.
Arrangements entrusted to the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Following his wishes, cremation will take place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
