Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 23-year-old Wallaceburg man is facing weapons charges after police discovered a firearm inside a vehicle earlier this week.
Chatham-Kent police say officers responded to a report of a person with a firearm in a vehicle on Dauw Avenue around 9:20 p.m. on Nov. 11.
Officers located the vehicle and found a firearm inside. The man was arrested and charged with possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm and careless storage of a firearm.
He was taken to police headquarters and later released with a court date scheduled for Dec. 22.
