Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 42-year-old Chatham woman has been arrested on an outstanding warrant after allegedly failing to comply with a release order.
Police said the accused had been released on Oct. 29, 2025, on a recognizance with conditions, including reporting weekly to the Chatham-Kent Police Service. She failed to attend to sign in on Dec. 3, 2025, leading officers to form grounds for a charge of failing to comply with a release order and the issuance of a warrant.
On Feb. 18, 2026, at about 10:02 a.m., the woman was located at the courthouse on Grand Avenue West in Chatham and arrested. She was transported to the South West Detention Centre, where she remains in custody pending a video court appearance scheduled for Feb. 20, 2026.
