OPP officials allege: A 23-year-old driver from Bothwell is facing multiple charges following a traffic stop in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, police say.
The Ontario Provincial Police said an officer with the Middlesex County detachment was on general patrol when a suspicious vehicle was observed on Glendon Drive on Feb. 28, 2026, at approximately 1:47 a.m.
A traffic stop was initiated, at which time the driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.
The accused, a 23-year-old from Bothwell, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with operation while impaired – alcohol, operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), dangerous operation, and novice driver – B.A.C. above zero.
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on March 31, 2026, to answer to the charges.
