The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is inviting community members to join its Election Compliance Audit Committee ahead of the 2026 Municipal Election on October 26.
The committee is responsible for reviewing requests related to election campaign finances. Volunteers with experience on committees, task forces, or tribunals are considered an asset, and the municipality is also seeking individuals who understand, or wish to learn about, the campaign finance rules outlined in the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.
Those interested are asked to complete the Volunteer Application Form and include a brief bio or resume highlighting relevant experience. Applications can be emailed to ckclerk@chatham-kent.ca by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31.
“Help support a fair and transparent election process — apply today,” the municipality said.
