Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 42-year-old woman from Chatham-Kent is facing impaired driving charges following a traffic stop in Wheatley.
Chatham-Kent police say an officer conducted a traffic stop on Talbot Road at about 3:24 p.m. on March 14. During the interaction, the driver was issued an Approved Screening Device demand and registered a failure.
The woman was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters for further testing, where breath samples were obtained and registered readings above the legal limit.
She has been charged with impaired operation and operation having a blood alcohol concentration over 80 milligrams.
The accused was later released with a court date scheduled for April 7, 2026.
