Sadly and with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Eileen Sherry April Gialelem (Sterling), on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at the age of 67.
She was born Wednesday, April 1, 1959, in Wallaceburg and was the oldest daughter of the late Gerald and Berneida (Myers) Sterling.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Nikolas Gialelem, in 2009.
Loving mother of Tony (Jon-Anne Rose) Gialelem and Ashley Gialelem.
Dear grandmother of Kailee Gialelem (Dave Richards) and Brianne Gialelem and great grandmother of James, Nikolas and Sophia Gialelem.
Loving sister of Rick Sterling, Maureen Jauniaux (John Taggart) (the late Peter Jauniaux), the late Raymond Sterling (2009) (survived by Annis) and sister-in-law of Jim Gialelem, Chris Gialelem and the late Paul Gialelem.
She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 6-9pm at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home, 639 Elgin St. Wallaceburg.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Children’s Treatment Centre or the Chatham-Kent Hospice may be left at the funeral home.
