Man charged after incident at Marilyn Gladu’s Sarnia constituency office

Sarnia Police Service officials allege: A man is facing charges after an incident last week at Conservative MP Marilyn Gladu’s constituency office in Sarnia.

Sarnia Police Service said the incident occurred on May 28 at approximately 11 a.m., when a male suspect wearing a ski mask attended the office located on Finch Drive.

Police said the man threw a rock at the front glass door, causing minor damage in the form of scratches. No glass was broken and no injuries were reported. Employees inside the office contacted police.

Uniform officers attended the scene and located the suspect in a nearby parking lot, where he was taken into custody.

Police said a 41-year-old man from London has been charged with disguise with intent to commit an offence and mischief under $5,000.

He was later released from custody on an undertaking.

Sarnia Police said the investigation is ongoing.
