Wallaceburg election candidates to take part in meet-and-greet July 27

Residents in Ward 5 – Wallaceburg will have an opportunity to meet candidates seeking election to municipal council later this month during a public meet-and-greet at Glasstown Brewing Co.

The free event will take place Monday, July 27, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the brewery, located at 331 James St. in Wallaceburg, ahead of the municipal election on Oct. 26.

The evening will begin with a social hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., during which candidates will host individual booths where residents can ask questions and discuss local issues. A moderated question-and-answer session will follow from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., focusing on issues affecting the Ward 5 community.

Organizers are encouraging residents to submit potential questions to their preferred candidates before the event for consideration during the moderated discussion. Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions at the conclusion of the moderated session if time permits.

No registration is required to attend, and Glasstown Brewing Co.’s kitchen and bar will be open throughout the event.
