The Wallaceburg and District Museum is inviting the community to two spooky-themed attractions this October, offering both a family-friendly haunted experience and an interactive escape room challenge.
The Haunted Museum event will run over two weekends, Oct. 16 and 17 and again Oct. 23 and 24, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the museum, 505 King St., Wallaceburg.
Admission is $5 per person. Organizers describe the event as family-friendly fun for all ages, with a no-scare option available for visitors who prefer a less frightening experience. Funds raised through the event will support the museum.
The museum is also presenting The Witch’s Lair Escape Room throughout the month, running from Oct. 1 to 30. The escape room challenges participants to solve a series of puzzles before the witch returns, with groups of three or four given one hour to search for clues, uncover a location and code, and escape before time runs out.
The cost is $20 per person, with groups of four preferred. Participants must be at least 12 years old and accompanied by at least one adult. Time slots can be booked online through the museum’s website at wallaceburgmuseum.ca.
