With the Lord Selkirk Bridge in Wallaceburg shut down currently, as some repairs are completed, we decided to take a look back.
Stephen Jahns, manager of infrastructure and transportation, not only provided us with details about the current situation with the busy bridge in Wallaceburg, he also sent us an old photo of the bridge!
Stephen said the date on the original drawings is 1945, however he believes the structure was built in 1946-1947. The photo below is from sometime in the late 1940s:
