Around 12:40 am this morning, Police were called to an unwanted person complaint at an apartment complex on Westcourt Blvd in Wallaceburg.
Officers arrived a short time later and encountered a male who was intoxicated and had refused to leave the area when asked to by an area resident.
It was determined that this man, due to his level of intoxication was a danger to himself and he was taken into custody for his own safety.
The 30-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with being intoxicated in a public place.
He was released when sober.
