
A Dover man faces charges following a crash this morning on Highway 40.
Chatham-Kent OPP said on February 26, just after 6:30 a.m., OPP officers responded to a collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Highway 40 and Electric Line.
The collision occurred when a GMC pickup facing eastbound at the intersection on Electric Line, proceeded to turn north onto Highway 40 and was struck by a southbound Ford Edge, being driven by a lone 54-year-old female from Wallaceburg.
The lone male driver of the GMC, a 51-year-old man from Dover Centre, has been charged with Fail To Yield To Traffic On Through Highway, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
Both drivers were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.
