Wallaceburg’s Shaun Suisham did not start the year off the way he wanted on Sunday night.
In the Pittsburgh Steelers pre-season opener on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, Suisham went down with a knee injury in the second half.
Suisham was trying to make a tackle on a kickoff.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said it is a “potentially significant left knee injury.”
Suisham is the only kicker on the Pittsburgh roster at the moment.
The Wallaceburg Tartan grad and NFL veteran is coming off a career year in 2014, where he made over 90 per cent of his field goal tries.
We’ll provide more information when it becomes available.
