We paint EVERYTHING in this picture with one quart of Annie Sloan Chalk Paintâ„¢!
Chalk Paint is Annie Sloan’s BRAND NAME. It’s not a KIND of paint. When Annie invented this paint almost 26 years ago, she called it Chalk Paint because of it’s chalky texture when dry. Although it is water based, it contains no latex or chalk or powder. Its unique formula sticks to (almost) anything without sanding or priming. You can go right over latex, oil, varnish and even upholstery with great results every time. Most other “Chalky’ paints on the market recommend sanding and priming for “best adhesion” – usually because they contain latex.
