Doors open early for

Vendors will have various items ready for bidding ranging in retail price from $10 to $50.00.
Bidding goes like this…(subject to change)
$10.00 – $25.00 costs ONE QUARTER to bid
$25-$30 costs TWO QUARTERS to bid
$35 – $40 costs THREE QUARTERS to bid
$40+ costs FOUR QUARTERS to bid

The auctioneer holds up the item, Lets say it is worth $30. Anyone who wants to bid on that item tosses in 2 quarters. The people draw a number and whoevers number is drawn wins that item for the 2 quarters they tossed in. If your number is drawn and you have NOT put your quarters in, they will draw another number and will continue until a bidding number has been called.

———————-

A quarter auction is similar to a game of bingo, the balls are numbered to match the board or paddle in this case. A buyer can purchase as many paddles as necessary. When someone raises their paddle they are bidding the number on that paddle that matches what is already in the drawing box. The person holding up the right number on their paddle wins the bid and must pay the number of quarters that represents that items value and places the quarters in the jar or bucket provided.

Most auction items are one or two quarter bids and you never put more quarters in than the bid amount. All others who paid will have their donations applied to the fundraiser. The auction continues with each item until everything is sold.
