Burns Restaurant in Dresden is known for many things; good food, friendly service, great prices, excellent catering, and the list goes on.

However, one item on their menu has truly become a staple – their broasted chicken.

“On a slow week, we’re cooking a few thousands pieces of broasted chicken,” said Rob Burnett, who owns the restaurant along with his wife Erin. “In the summer that picks up because you have picnics and family gatherings and functions that want it, we’ve had weddings that want it.”

Broasted chicken is on special every Sunday night at the Dresden restaurant.

“It’s packed every Sunday,” Burnett said.

Not to be outdone, the rest of the menu at Burns keep the place busy.

“As far as the dining menu, we do breakfast, lunch and supper,” Burnett said. “We do a ton of take out, pizzas… Friday is perch and pickerel and it’s usually pretty packed for that too. We do a decent breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the week. We have lunch specials every day with the salad bar included, so it is nice and quick for people to come in.”
