Kenneth ‘Kookie’ Lloyd Blackbird passed peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at the age of 83.
Survived by his beloved wife Carlette (Doxtator).
Loving father to Kanathea ‘Kandi’ (the late Paul DaCosta), Amanda (Jason), Tammy (Blair) and the late Kenny Jr..
Cherished Papa of Ashton, Drake, Donovan, Jonah, Jolene, Tasonna and great grandfather of Zoey, Marcia, Everett, Llewyn, Ava, Emery and Grayson. Dear son of Aleta and Burton Kewayosh.
Brother of Burton Jr, Roy, Steven, Charlton, Marsha, Alethea, Celeste, Vera, Krystal, his Doxtator family and the late Soloman Kewayosh, William ‘Bill’ Blackbird and Ralph ‘Puppy Dog’ Johnson.
Fondly remembered by his many extended family and friends.
Kenneth was a proud survivor of the Shingwauk Residential School.
Family and Friends are invited for community visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231), on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 12 until 4pm.
A private family service and burial will take place at a later time.
