Uttering forged documents and fraud charges laid stemming from an investigation in Orford Township

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 5:58 p.m., the man and the woman attended Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and turned themselves in to the police.

The man and the woman were wanted in a March 21, 2024, fraud investigation that occurred in Orford Township.

They were arrested and released with conditions and a future court date of May 27, 2024.

The 19-year-old Watford woman is charged with theft, possession of stolen property, 22 counts of uttering forged documents, and 22 counts of fraud under $5000.

The 23-year-old Watford man is charged with theft, possession of stolen property, 27 counts of uttering forged documents, and 27 counts of fraud under $5000.
