Community Living is celebrating the Academy Awards in style

Community Living Wallaceburg is rolling out the red carpet for a unique fundraiser on Sunday, March 2, 2014. The Agency is hosting A Night with Oscar, a salute to the Academy Awards at Gatsby’s Grill House, 750 James Street. Guests will be greeted by waiting paparazzi, indulge in award-themed desserts and games, and watch the Oscars on big screens.

The evening gets underway at 7:30 pm with the red carpet, followed by the viewing party at 8 pm. Tickets are $30 and are available at Community Living Wallaceburg, 1100 Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg or by calling 519-627-0777. Proceeds from A Night with Oscar will enhance services and supports to over 400 people with intellectual disabilities in Wallaceburg and across Chatham-Kent.

“A Night with Oscar is a new and exciting fundraiser that will reasonate with movie fans and supporters of Community Living Wallaceburg,” said Ron Laroche, the Agency’s Coordinator of Communications and Fund Development. “We have many Oscar-related activities planned, making this event the next best thing to being at the Academy Awards.”

Community Living Wallaceburg is also pleased to have Zuidema Interiors Ltd. and New Vision Optical Centre as Red Carpet Sponsors and Dr. Freeburn and Dr. Currier as Backstage Sponsors for this tribute to Tinseltown.
