Lloyd Wayne ‘Duke’ Baker, a resident of Bright’s Grove and formerly of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia on Sunday, June 15, 2014.
Lloyd is the son of the late Lloyd Homer & Catherine Edith ‘Kay’ (Davis) Baker.
Beloved husband of Patricia Ann ‘Pat’ (Aarssen). Loving father of Scott Baker (Coreen) and Kelly Richardson (Bill).
Dear grandfather of Princess Madeline and Everett.
Brother of Joan Irwin (Dale). Duke was a former employee of Dominion Glass Ltd, H.E. Vannatter Ltd. as a Toolmaker and Project Manager and Aarkel Moulds Ltd. until his illness.
Lloyd bravely battled Multiple Myeloma and Leukemia.
He was a dedicated blood donor to the Canadian Blood Services for most of his life and a proud child sponsor through World Vision.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 7-9 PM on Thursday.
A private family Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at a later date with interment in Riverview Cemetery.
