The Lord Selkirk Bridge remains closed and it is unclear when it will re-open.

The bridge on McNaughton Avenue, in between Wallace Street and Dufferin Avenue, has been closed since around 6:30 p.m. last night.

“We won’t know until later this afternoon,” said Mark Ceppi, engineering technologist with the Chatham-Kent infrastructure and engineering department.

The bridge was closed due to “unplanned bridge deck repairs.”

Municipal crews have been working on the bridge throughout the day.

We’ll provide more information when it becomes available.

  1. If this is an “unplanned closure” for repairs, why is it closed? Maybe another CK ploy to make Wallaceburg even more unreceptive to their BS
