Long-time Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) supporter and former Dresden resident, Andrew Faas, has written a new book dealing with a serious social and economic issue – bullying in the workplace.

His book, The Bully’s Trap, will be released in January 2015, but Mr. Faas has arranged for pre-orders of the book to be available locally, with $5 from every book sold via the pre-order to be directed to the Foundation of CKHA’s $6.9 million CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign.

He will also present at a ‘Lunch and Learn’ event, hosted by the Foundation of CKHA, on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Club Lentinas.

“Andrew continues to support organizations close to his heart and has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership through philanthropy,” says Michele Grzebien-Huckson, Executive Director, Foundation of CKHA. “We are thrilled to be able to help launch his new book, The Bully’s Trap, and are grateful for his generosity in directing a portion of his book pre-sales to our new DI Campaign. His modest generosity makes him a pleasure to work with, his commitment to volunteerism exemplifies his selflessness, and his love for his family, friends and community
drives his charitable giving. Andrew Faas is an exceptional example of a true philanthropist.”

The Bully’s Trap

Working in an environment that is free and safe of bullying is a fundamental right, but the fact is that far too many employees are being denied this right. What can be done to ensure that this right is upheld where you work?

Bullying in the workplace destroys careers, lives, family units, organizations, and communities.

Many organizational cultures condone and even encourage bullying. Most people who are targeted and or are bystanders do not report for fear of retaliation. Amazingly, many who are targeted are unaware that what they are going through is bullying.

In The Bully’s Trap, author Andrew Faas provides comprehensive and provocative insight into the dynamics, impacts, and costs of bullying in the workplace and answers how it can be prevented and stopped.
