A new court date has been given to a man charged with attempted murder.
20-year-old Taylor Ermatinger, of Walpole Island, is set to appear in a Chatham courtroom on January 28 to be spoken to.
He last appeared in court on January 14.
Ermatinger is charged with attempted murder, stemming from an incident at Sam’s Hotel in Wallaceburg back in May.
Chatham-Kent Police officials say the incident left a 19-year-old Wallaceburg man with critical head injuries.
However, conversations on social media indicate that the victim’s condition has improved.
Ermatinger had originally been denied bail in the Ontario Court of Justice on June 4.
However, a bail review was requested.
A Superior Court Justice overturned the decision and granted Ermatinger a release on a recognizance on July 21, which included a long list of conditions.
A publication ban remains in place for the case.
