Amos Francis “Waabaanakwat” Ermatinger of Walpole Island First Nation


Amos Francis “Waabaanakwat” Ermatinger, a resident of Walpole Island First Nation, died suddenly on Walpole Island on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the age of 68.

Amos is the son of the late Victor Angus & Agnes Grace (Sands) Ermatinger.

Loving husband of Helena “Gussie” (Taylor) Ermatinger.

Loving father of Lisa Marek (Michael), Amos Jr., Stephanie, Angel, Leah (Greg), Holly, Brandee (Isaiah), Jordan and Taylor.

Dear grandfather of Patrick, Matthew, Christopher, Shyanna, Mariah, Sydney, Noodin, Hallie, Kiishooxkw and Lucas and great grandfather of Mason.

Brother of Ruth, Lorraine, Rita, Marilyn, Margaret, Marie, Victoria and the late Gertrude, Patrick, Frederick, Nicodemus, Lawrence, Susan and Michael.

He was uncle, great uncle and great great uncle to many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 7-9 PM on Friday.

A wake service will be held at 8 PM Friday.

The funeral will be celebrated at the Walpole Island Evangelistic Centre on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 1 PM.
