Chatham-Kent proved it before with the Monopoly win back in 2010 and followed it up by capturing the TSN Kraft Celebration Tour stop for Wallaceburg in 2011.
Fast forward to 2015 and the community has a chance to add another notch to their online voting belt with this year’s Kraft Hockeyville contest.
Chatham-Kent is among 10 finalists in the contest, will who each win $25,000 in upgrades for their arena.
The top two communities will win $100,000 to go towards upgrades a their arena, and the top city will win the opportunity to host a NHL pre-season game.
Voting begins at 11 p.m. on Saturday, March 21 and ends on March 23.
Voting stations will be setup across C-K on Sunday and Monday, including at the Wallaceburg Library from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday.
