Around 8:30 p.m. last night, officers responded to a restaurant on James Street in Wallaceburg in regards to an unwanted patron.
A 51-year-old Walpole Island woman was found to be intoxicated.
She was taken into custody for her own safety as she was unable to care for herself.
The woman has been charged with being intoxicated in a public place.
She will be released when sober.
