Police are being tight lipped after an alleged stabbing last weekend on Walpole Island.
Sources say a man was stabbed by another male at a house on Squirrel Island sometime on Saturday night, April 4.
Walpole Island police officer Jeff King confirmed with the Sydenham Current that an incident did take place, however he could not release any details.
“I am familiar with the incident,” he said.
King referred the Sydenham Current to their media officer.
Calls and e-mails to the Lambton County OPP, who typically handle media relations for Walpole Island, have not been returned
Sources say the injured man was taken to the hospital, and has since been released.
Details about the alleged suspect are not known.
